3 months into the game as one of the southern italy provinces, and a fleet of 70 pirates came.. how am I suppose to take lands across the sea when the pirates have such insane fleets? The descriptions says you should get cb's for nations with pirate bases but yeah...considering that removing the bases doesn't even work in stopping them spawning I'm not surprised.It's however quite worrying that a function implemented in 1.1 is not working at all and no word on them even being aware of the issue even tho its easy to reproduce. Kind of explains the insane amount of pirates.It definitely works in 1.1. Use the barbarian map toggle to see where the pirate flags are, then once you reduce the numbers some just trash the extra ships to get your economy back right. I tend to have a patrol fleet cleaning them away automatically anyway, so I don't notice if clearing the haven clears a fleet already out at sea.
